Fight between youths escalates: father intervenes and kills another father

A dispute between two youths in Saint-Martin-de-Valgues, in the French department of Gard, got seriously out of hand on Thursday.

The two youths argued over a mobile phone. Both fathers of the youths intervened. One father, a 43-year-old man, drove his car into the other father, a 56-year-old man. He was seriously injured and had to be rushed to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The perpetrator was arrested for murder. Investigations must now determine whether he deliberately drove into the man. An autopsy and witness interviews are currently underway.
