Favourites to succeed Pope Francis

There are five individuals who are frequently mentioned as potential candidates to become the new pope.
Starting with the Italian cardinal Pietro Parolin, Vatican Secretary of State, who appears as a central figure and a favourite. Finally, on the conservative side, American cardinal Raymond Leo Burke has criticised Francis’ reforms. His traditionalist stance and emphasis on doctrine could appeal to those wishing for a return to a more rigid Church. He's a favourite of Donald Trump.
