"Every inch of the war is documented, no room for impunity"

"The Russian Federation's aggression against Ukraine will not go unpunished, which is why the creation of a special court of law for the crime of aggression is extremely important," notes the European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Kaja Kallas.

"Every moment of the Russian war is documented. We live in an information era. Everything is documented, and there's no room for impunity," stated Kaja Kallas during a press conference.

According to her, definitive political support for the creation of a special court of law for the crimes of aggression will be provided immediately: "This court of law will ensure that the main perpetrators of aggression against Ukraine are held accountable for their actions," she said.

According to Interfax the court of law will be created when Ukraine signs and ratifies the agreement with the Council of Europe. Cooperation agreements are also necessary for the proper functioning of the court of law.

The court of law will be physically located in The Hague, the world capital of international law, and is expected to begin organizational operations in 2026 as well as start investigating cases of aggression by the end of the same year.
