Elon Musk's alarming announcements

During a podcast with Republican Senator Ted Cruz, Elon Musk shared his pessimistic outlook on the world.

"There is a 20% chance that humanity will be wiped out by killer robots in 10 years," said Elon Musk. The billionaire explained that it's possible Artificial Intelligence could lead to the extermination of humanity.
When Cruz asked if it was possible for AI to imagine, manufacture, and control killer robots, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX said: "Yes, that's conceivable—it would take between five and ten years for such a scenario to unfold."

In fact, Musk believes that the possibility of an AI-triggered apocalypse is real... although he qualified his remarks. "You could say the glass is 80 to 90 percent full."
