Dutch children discover treasure in the water

Liam (9 years old), Luc (6), Nout (13) and Lasse (10) will never forget this past weekend. These four Dutch friends pulled incredible things out of the water during one of their first times trying 'magnet fishing'.

The four boys went magnet fishing last weekend in the Praamgracht near Baarn in the Dutch province of Utrecht. And, to be honest, they never dared to dream that they would find such a valuable treasure.

Their amazement was great when they suddenly came across a large quantity of jewellery in the water. It turned out that jewellery was sticking to their magnet in various places, and in the end, they pulled a fairly impressive haul out of the water. It concerns several kilos of jewellery. The Dutch police suspect that the jewellery may have come from a burglary.

The Dutch police have launched an investigation and are trying to find out whose jewellery this is.

Will the boys be able to count on a finder's fee, or will they simply get to keep the jewellery?
