Dutch and French cycling tourists die during Tour of Flanders

Approximately 12,500 cycling tourists participated in Belgium in the Tour of Flanders for cycling tourists on Saturday. A Dutch and a French tourist died during the tour.

A Dutchman died of heart failure on the Taaienberg, while on the Oude Kwaremont a French cycling tourist became unwell. He was resuscitated for 45 minutes and even airlifted to hospital. However, he died there.

In other places, such as the Eikenberg or the Koppenberg, other touring riders were injured.
