Trump confident of securing nuclear deal with Iran without ‘dropping bombs all over the place’

Donald Trump has expressed optimism about quickly securing a nuclear agreement with Iran, adding that military action will not be necessary.

Despite pressure from Israel, which has called for the dismantling of Iran’s nuclear program, negotiations between Washington and Tehran made progress over the weekend during talks held in Oman.

The U.S. president had previously threatened Iran with military strikes if it refused to swiftly agree to a nuclear deal. However, Trump now appears to favor a diplomatic solution.

"On the Iran situation, I think we're doing very well. I think a deal is going to be made there. That's going to happen. Pretty sure it's going to happen. We'll have something without having to start dropping bombs all over the place," he said.
