Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a new two-year contract with Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr.

The 40-year-old Portuguese striker, who joined the Riyadh-based team in December 2022, has extended his stay in Saudi Arabia despite growing speculation about a possible departure.

In a post shared on X, the football star wrote: “A new chapter begins. Same passion, same dream. Let's make history together.”

Since joining Al-Nassr, the club has not secured any domestic trophies, although Ronaldo has made a prolific impact in front of goal. In 111 appearances for the team, he has scored 99 goals and finished as the league’s top scorer in each of the past two seasons.

Despite that, Ronaldo’s future in Saudi Arabia had seemed uncertain, especially after he hinted at a possible exit at the end of the season, writing on social media that the “chapter is over.

The Portuguese international is now contracted to Al-Nassr until 2027.
