According to Welt, China is considering participating in a peacekeeping mission in Ukraine and in the EU, where it's believed that China's participation could help Russia reconsider its attitude towards peacekeeping forces.

China is evaluating the possibility of taking part in peacekeeping forces in Ukraine and is asking the EU whether its European partners support such an initiative.

According to Welt's sources, diplomatic circles in Brussels think that including China in the "coalition of volunteers" could be a factor that may help Russia reconsider its attitude towards peacekeeping forces on Ukrainian territory, but this step remains "delicate" and requires a cautious approach.

The idea of a peacekeeping mission was mentioned in the context of the upcoming summit to be held in Paris next Thursday. French President Emmanuel Macron has indicated that the aim of the summit is to clarify short-term support commitments to Ukraine, as well as the deployment of peacekeepers in the event of a ceasefire.
