Cadillac has officially joined Formula 1 as the 11th team on the grid for the 2026 season and the team has just announced its driver line-up.
Cadillac has announced that Cadillac's initial 2026 lineup will include F1 drivers Valtteri Bottas and Sergio "Checo" Perez, both widely recognised for their technical expertise and strong track records. Their combined experience is central to Cadillac's strategy to accelerate its competitiveness from day one.
Bottas of Finland and Perez of Mexico are a sure bet for the American team.
Cadillac received final approval from the FIA and Formula One Management in March 2025, marking a significant milestone for the American brand and its parent company, General Motors.
The team will debut as a Ferrari customer, using engines from the Italian marque for its first seasons, before embarking on the development of its own engines by 2028. Cadillac's entry into F1 is described as a "comprehensive" program, with new facilities based in Silverstone, UK, and the United States.
