Pierre de Maere was born in Uccle in 2001. Surrounded by the greenery of his family's farm, where he listened to Lady Gaga and Stromae on repeat, he began composing from a very young age and playing the piano—even though he never took any music theory lessons. Sometimes talent doesn't need a teacher!

In 2020, while others were still finding their way at university, he released his first track, "Potins absurdes" and the magic of social media did the rest. The androgynous singer quickly landed a record deal with the dynamic label Cinq 7. His first official single, "Un jour je marierai un ang", came out a year later, and was an instant hit.

Pierre de Maere was everywhere: on every TV show, every news article, every concert—even in places where no one expected him. With just one single, he became a crowd favourite, and even inaugurated a new category at the NRJ Music Awards, "Belgian Revelation of the Year". Long live Belgium, long live Pierre de Maere!

His first album, "Regarde-moi", was released in 2023. With everyone already watching him, his debut single was certified diamond as the awards kept rolling in. A year later, he released his new track, "Mercredi", followed by a collaboration with Dua Lipa, where they performed a cover of "These Walls" together. The English singer clearly enjoys teaming up with talent from Belgium, having released "Fever" with Angèle in 2020.

Pierre de Maere is a pop comet, a modern-day dandy. As a child, he dreamed of being a superstar—and now he really has reached the stars...
