It's in the municipality of Montgomery Township, about 30km north of Philadelphia (Pennsylvania), where this marking is causing a stir. A rather original solution to slow down cars.
Are these curves drawn on the ground the work of completely drunk workers? Is it a bad joke or an April Fool's prank (the marking having been done at the beginning of the month)? Some are really wondering. Because indeed, instead of the usual completely straight marking, it's a wavy marking that has left motorists speechless, reports the site Road & Track.
You were warned
Note that the authorities had indeed installed a sign in advance of the project to warn motorists of the upcoming change. And judging by the messages on social media networks, many are far from finding the idea wise. Out of weariness, it seems clear that some motorists will eventually opt for the "straight through", despite the curves.
On their side, the municipality is relying on a psychological effect and has already planned additional measures if the unusual marking doesn't bear fruit, reports the media 20 Minutes.
