The women's 4x200m at an athletics championship in Virginia, USA, got a bit out of hand last weekend.
A sprinter gave a competitor a concussion with the relay baton, which is normally only meant to be passed to the next team-mate in the relay.
Athlete Alaia Everett deliberately struck competitor Kaelen Tucker on the back of the head with the baton after an overtaking manoeuvre in the heat of the moment.
Tucker ended up off the indoor athletics track and fell. Her race was over as a result of the attack. In hospital, it was determined that she had sustained a concussion. In the meantime, she has also filed a complaint for assault against her attacker.
