Trump’s presidency is ‘far worse than I imagined’

A prominent Republican politician hasn’t held back in his criticism of Donald Trump’s return to the White House.

Adam Kinzinger, who represented Illinois in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2011 to 2023, said that Trump’s second presidency has already exceeded his worst expectations.

“This is far worse than I imagined it could be, quite honestly—in terms of the brazenness and the outright disregard for norms, for institutions, and everything else,” Kinzinger told Saxo.

He warned of a looming constitutional crisis: “The real crisis point will be determined by what happens when the Supreme Court—which right now seems to be pushing back against him—issues a ruling he doesn't like. Will he comply, or will he refuse to follow it?”

Since returning to office, the 78-year-old billionaire president has issued a flurry of executive orders and imposed sweeping global tariffs that have roiled financial markets.
