A new Statue of Liberty with a lion: "cool", Musk approves

All is not well between France and the United States. Since the controversy surrounding the Statue of Liberty, it must be said that exchanges are quite tense between the two countries. 

Today, French sculptors from the Missor Workshop, presenting themselves as the last foundry in France, have announced their intention to erect a new version of the Statue of Liberty, this time in titanium, more imposing and more masculine... which has immediately caught the interest of Elon Musk

To recap, the controversy erupted when French MEP Raphaël Glucksmann declared that the United States should, due to their controversial political positions, return the statue, a symbol of freedom, reports the media Blick. The statement provoked Trump's administration, which pointed out that it was thanks to the Americans that the French don't speak German. Hence, it was better to refrain and be grateful.

Goodbye to the feminine silhouette

The Missor Workshop would thus propose a new statue in titanium this time, a material that will guarantee it a longevity of “millions of years”. It would be larger than the original, and its feminine silhouette would be abandoned in favour of a man brandishing the flame alongside a lion. The project immediately appealed to Elon Musk, who commented on his social network X: “That looks cool”. The founder of the foundry should be over the moon since he dreamed of representing Trump's right arm! Furthermore, and according to Nice Matin, the artists of Missor are known for their links with the identitarian movement. 

While this initiative is currently creating a buzz, one still wonders who will fund the project? There's no point on counting on the Missor Workshop, which has recently confessed to being on the brink of bankruptcy. The situation suggests that this Statue of Liberty might never see the light of day… 

So, genuine artistic ambition or marketing stunt? Only time will tell.
