The American president has excluded Russia, Cuba, North Korea, and Belarus from his tariff policy because, according to a White House spokesperson, these countries "are already facing extremely high tariffs" that hinder their trade.
These are four countries already subject to sanctions, so Mr. Trump doesn't deem it necessary to apply tariffs to goods imported from these regions. In the rest of the countries, the new measures imposed by Trump will come into effect on Saturday, April 5th, and the additional part concerning each nation will be effective from the 9th of the same month.
With his "Liberation day", the American president has imposed tariffs of 10% on almost all countries wishing to sell their products to the United States.
