15 years later, the singer responds to outrageous rumour

It's already been 15 years that the rumour of an alleged penis has followed Lady Gaga like a shadow.

It was in 2010 that rumours began circulating in the United States; the New York singer was supposedly a man, or had a penis. No evidence, no basis. Just "gossip" that has followed Lady Gaga since her rise to fame following the release of her two albums "The Fame" and "The Fame Monster".

It all begins with montages

While she had never done so before, the 38-year-old star now speaks out about the rumours concerning her identity. She does so in the documentary What's Next? The Future With Bill Gates, available on Netflix. According to her, it all started with photo montages widely shared on the internet. And if she never paid attention to it, it's because she has never been affected by it. She even says she doesn't feel like "a victim of this lie".

"My fans don't care"

“I'm used to lies being published about me since I was 20. I'm an artist. I find it rather funny,” adds the performer of Shallow. In 2011, during an interview with CNN, she refused to deny or confirm the rumour, considering it completely uninteresting. “Why on earth would I waste my time and issue a press release to say whether or not I have a penis? My fans don't care and neither do I”!
