According to the Fox News correspondent at the White House, the United States has increased tariffs on Chinese products to 104%.

The tariffs will come into effect because China hasn't lifted its retaliatory measures in response to US demands. From April 9, Beijing will be subjected to tariffs of 104%.

The United States imposed a 34% tariff on imports from China. In response, Beijing announced it would apply similar tariffs of 34% on American imports.

Subsequently, Trump raised tariffs on Chinese imports from 34% to 50%. The Chinese embassy in the United States responded by stating that pressure or threats towards China weren't a good way to engage. China also criticised the new tariffs, stating that they were causing a decline in global markets, and called for consultations with the United States.

China promised to "fight to the end" if Trump followed through with his threat to increase tariffs as announced.
