KDB: “I will quit, I will quit!”
The Belgian Red Devils failed to grab a point against the French. It was 2-0 for Mbappé and co. The Belgians once again failed to keep up a good level of play, much to the frustration of captain Kevin De Bruyne, who reacted emotionally and puffed up after yet another losing game against a world class team.
KDB denounced the attitude of some teammates and seemed to say to director Frank Vercauteren immediately after the game, “I quit.” But did the top Manchester City player mean that he would stop complaining out loud in public and in front of the press. Or is De Bruyne really thinking of quitting the national team?
Unavailable for further comment after the match, the captain stepped onto the bus with his headphones on his head after showering. A new clapper awaits in a month with Italy, hopefully with Kevin De Bruyne between the lines....
