Chilling new revelations about actor's death
Matthew Perry, who played Chandler Bing in the series Friends, tragically lost his life in October 2023 at the age of 54. According to the autopsy report, the actor's death was attributed to ‘the acute effects of ketamine’.
In the documentary ‘Matthew Perry: A Hollywood Tragedy’, released this week on the Peacock platform, Martin Estrada, the prosecutor in charge of the case, recounts the actor's final months before his tragic death.
As a reminder, the investigation into Matthew Perry's death led to the indictment of five people last August, reports the media outlet L'Indépendant. Kenneth Iwamasa, the star's personal assistant, and Erik Fleming, a close associate of the suspected actor, are alleged to have collaborated with two doctors accused of supplying the drugs, Salvador Plasencia and Mark Chavez. Jasveen Sangha, nicknamed ‘the queen of ketamine’, is accused of delivering the fatal dose.
The autopsy report revealed that Perry's death was attributed to the ‘acute effects of ketamine’, which led to his accidental drowning in a jacuzzi. In total, the actor received 27 injections of ketamine, in addition to his treatment for depression and anxiety, in the last 72 hours of his life.
Martin Estrada explained: "One of the key points in our indictment is that these defendants should have exercised better judgement. They exploited a vulnerable person, allowing their greed to lead them to put Mr Perry's life at risk."
