A former Disneyland employee in Florida has hacked Disney's menu creation servers multiple times.

Once he accessed the system and gained entry to the menus, he made changes. He altered prices, added explicit language, and also modified the menu's allergen list. This is obviously life-threatening as the allergen list indicates whether a dish is, for example, peanut-free, which is vital information that could lead to death for those who are allergic.

Fortunately, the sabotage was discovered by Disney before the menus were sent to the restaurants.

Michael Scheuer was sentenced last week to three years in prison by the court, after having been previously dismissed by Disney in June 2024 for his inappropriate actions. Moreover, he has to pay $690,000 in compensation. The ex-employee pleaded guilty to hacking and identity theft.
