Another shooting near metro station in Europe's capital
On Tuesday morning, the area around the Clemenceau metro station, near the Gare du Midi, in Brussels, Belgium, was already rocked by gunshots, fired from an automatic rifle. On Wednesday night, shots were fired again, this time injuring someone.
According to French-language public broadcaster RTBF, a man was wounded in the leg when he was shot at by an offender with a handgun around 3.30am on Wednesday night.
On Wednesday morning, the gunmen had fled through the tunnels of the metro network, but despite a manhunt, no perpetrator could be caught. According to Brussels prosecutor Julien Moinil, the shootings are related to a battle for territory between several drug gangs in the capital of Europe.
