American woman defenestrates her newborn in Paris
In Paris, an American woman threw away her newborn baby after giving birth. The infant died and the mother is in police custody. She was part of a tour group. It could be denial of pregnancy.
A newborn was thrown out of a 2nd-floor window of a hotel in the 20th arrondissement of Paris. The mother of the newborn carried out the fatal act. The public prosecutor's office took her into custody and sent her to hospital. According to the public prosecutor's office, the US citizen was traveling in Europe with a group of adults. The investigation for “homicide of a minor under the age of 15” seems to be focusing on denial of pregnancy in oder to explain the American's behavior. The baby was taken to hospital in emergency but didn't survive.
