‘Thank you France': War machines enable Ukrainians to protect their skies
On Thursday night, Russian forces launched 58 cruise missiles against Ukraine.
The missile strikes mainly targeted the country's energy infrastructure. According to the Ukrainian army, 194 Russian drones were also used during the massive air attack.
The Ukrainian leader reacted strongly to the offensive in question, which also had casualties. In his view, the first step towards restoring real and lasting peace "should be to force the only source of this war, i.e. Russia, to put an end to such attacks". In a message on X, Zelensky called for a "ban" on the use of "missiles, long-range drones and aerial bombs".
A conclusive test
In order to repel the massive attack and "protect the skies over Ukraine", Volodymyr Zelensky stated on Telegram that Ukrainian forces had made use of American F-16 aircraft as well as the French Mirage recently supplied to Kiev. Zelensky underlined that, "in particular, the Mirage were successfully tested against Russian cruise missiles. Thank you!"
